2012 Product Changes

Paulin Research Group is changing the way in which we bundle / sell our technology.  Effective immediately, we will sell three products:

FE/Pipe v6.5

• FE/Pipe will include AxiPRO, NozzlePRO, MatPRO, 661PRO,  Fitness for Service, and NH Reporting as permanent modules / specialized templates within the program (not as separate installations).
• FE/Pipe clients who have active maintenance plans (SMS) will receive access to FE107, FESIF, FEBend, FETee and the PCL-Gold pipe stress program.
• FE/Pipe clients who are current on their Software Maintenance Service (SMS) as of 15 February 2012, will receive permanent access to FE661.  FE661 will be re-branded as 661PRO.
• AxiPRO will only be available as a part of FE/Pipe.
• 661PRO will only be available as a part of FE/Pipe.
• The purchase price for FE/Pipe will increase, but the annual maintenance fees remain the same.

NozzlePRO v8.5

• NozzlePRO will include MatPRO, Fitness for Service and NH Reporting as permanent modules / specialized templates within the program (not as separate installations).
• NozzlePRO clients who have active maintenance plans (SMS) will receive access to FE107 &  FESIF.
• NozzlePRO clients who are current on their Software Maintenance Service (SMS) as of 15 February 2012, will receive permanent access to MatPRO, Fitness for Service calcs and NH Reporting (High Temperature).
• Both the purchase price and the annual maintenance for NozzlePRO will increase. NozzlePRO clients have the option of renewing maintenance at their current rate between now and 31 March 2012.  Maximum allowed maintenance extension is through 31 December 2013.

BOS Fluids v4.5

• BOS Fluids is being re-written by Dynaflow Research Group and Paulin Research Group.  As soon as the new release is available, BOS Fluids clients will be contacted with options for continuing support and/or upgrading to the newest version.
• BOS Fluids is no longer sold bundled with FE/Pipe.  It is only available as a separate / stand-alone product.

As always, the purchase price of the software includes one year of technical support & software upgrades.

Project Scout is a Tech Preview of Autodesk Simulation Mechanical/Multiphysics (formerly Algor). It is compatible with Autodesk® Simulation® Multiphysics 2012 and Autodesk® Simulation® Mechanical 2012 software.

Overview

Use Jig & Fixture Design for Inventor to significantly improve your efficiency designing jigs and fixtures with Autodesk® Inventor®.
Jig & Fixture Design extends Autodesk Inventor’s native capability with an extensible library of standard jig and fixture components which are attributed to support an enhanced level of automation intelligence. Retrieve components from the library dragging and dropping them into your design environment. The components auto-locate themselves when placed and their fasteners can be auto-populated. Based on initial tests, your overall design time can be reduced by over 50%.
Jig & Fixture Design also includes authoring tools which allow you to attribute standard content readily available from component vendors and publish it to the system’s content library for reuse.
This technology preview is licensed for a limited term and for a particular territory as referenced in the End User License Agreement. The technology preview executable expires at the end of the technology preview based on a time-bomb date that has been set for March 31, 2012.

Overview

The Inventor Mesh Enabler is a technology preview that enables Inventor users to work with imported Mesh data. As shipped Inventor 2012 and 2011 can import mesh data from Catia files. The Mesh Enabler adds the ability to post process the imported mesh data to convert the mesh features to Inventor Base features. The resulting Base features can then be used for further operations including drawings and measurements.

Usage:

After installing the technology preview, users can right click on one or more imported mesh features of interest, and convert them into Base features (solids, surfaces, or composites) through a new context menu command. The graphical mesh data is converted into B-Rep Model data that can be used similar to imported solids and surfaces. As part of the conversion process, the technology preview also does some simplification of the faceted data by merging multiple mesh triangles into a single face when possible. Try it with some sample files: cgr.zip (830.8K).
