PIPENET Vision will export the schematic as an AUTOCAD DXF file  within the next release of 1.30

Sunrise Systems has already provided the ability to import a .dxf file into PIPENET and use that as a back drop for developing PIPENET schematic.  Now PIPENET Vision is looking to produce something which is of significant benefit to users, considering how projects are executed in practice.

First the GA drawing is produced in AutoCAD.  The fire engineer then sketches a rough network over the GA (usually a hard copy) and sends it back to the Piping Department.  The Piping Department uses this sketch to route the pipes and detailed engineering starts with that.

The philosophy and capability we now have in PIPENET is similar.  The GA can be imported as a backdrop into PIPENET. The user then sketches PIPENET schematic over that and exports it to AutoCAD.  The piping engineer then uses the schematic as the starting point for detailed engineering.  The missing link so far has been the ability to export PIPENET schematic into AutoCAD.

PIPENET can now export the schematic as a .dxf file.  This will be available in the next release which is 1.30.
